Imaginary GlitchScapes (2025)

a surreal, glitched-out, cyberpunk, anti-surveillance Interactive installation for mk tattoo x mondegreen charity art party 2025.

Project Role: Artist & Creative Technologist

Technologies: TouchDesigner, Arduino

This piece uses digital artifacts — including videos from my travels, local landmarks, my eyeball and emotion data — with glitch patterns to warp surveillance technology symbols like location, fingerprints, eye scanning, and lenses into imaginary landscapes. Inspired by steampunk, Lee Miller, queer atlas theory and glitch feminism, it explores surrealism through a futuristic lens, using technology like AI, mobile software, and code against itself to distort the very data it attempts to control and quantify, thereby creating a vibrant, communal, responsive, and fluid space that has not yet existed.

The installation was mapped onto an archway and staircase at Dottiewood Studios for mondegreen’s Charity Art Event 2025 to raise money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Interactive elements included a simple touch capacitor sensor panel to change the visuals through fingerprint touches and create an ever-changing visual experience.
